I’ve been a maker for as long as I can remember—starting with "women’s crafting club" in third grade, where my best friend and I created everything we could imagine. Martha Stewart was our idol. Since then, art has been my way of exploring life’s beautiful quirks, from patterns in nature to the joy in simple moments. It's been my place of zen.

 

I attended the University of Northern Iowa to study Graphic Design - Art, where I learned to hone my creativity and explore creative concepts more deeply. 

 

My work is a mixture of blending colors, patterns, textures, and shapes that feel both familiar and a little surprising. I am drawn to intentional design with implied abstract roots, along with patterns and color palettes that spark feeling.

 

Through my art, I hope to spark a moment of pause that reminds people to pause and appreciate the beauty in the little things. Art has this wonderful way of connecting us, and if my work brings a smile or a sense of wonder to someone’s day, then I’m doing something right.

I currently reside in Waterloo, Iowa with my husband and three children. I've been a vendor at Cedar Falls' Artapalooza for the past two years and currently sell my creative goods at Local., a gift shop in Denver, Iowa.
